Nathan Sanderson

Hi I am Nathan. My Volunteering journey started in my late teens as I went from a member of a youth organisation to helping the volunteer staff run sessions for the younger members. From there I joined the British Red Cross as an Emergency Response volunteer. After a while a spot on the event first aid team became available and I joined the team. I met lots of amazing volunteers and friends through volunteering at many events across the UK.

I studied a degree in Computing (Software Development) at Moray College and sat on the board of management as a student representative to help make sure that students were heard at all levels of both the College and the University. I graduated in 2021 and took up full time employment at a local business helping develop their IT Systems.

Within Scotia Medical Group I am the treasurer and I volunteer my time as a first aider. I am relatively new to first aid and prehospital care, but I look forward to learning and developing my skills.

I joined the Board of Trustees to become a part of the strategic decision-making process to help shape the next steps of Scotia Medical Group and help it continue to develop in our community.
