My volunteering journey started nearly two decades ago with the Red Cross as a first aid volunteer. Since then, I have gained extensive experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating first aid services at events. I have led many teams of volunteers over the years, to achieve improvements and success in a wide range of areas such as training compliance, increased volunteer attendance, implementation of a robust training programme as well as fulfilling event cover, personal development and team building.

Currently, I manage several volunteer emergency response teams across the North of Scotland. Working within emergency planning allows me to build on my crisis management skills, people leadership skills, as well as project management and stakeholder management. My career spans different roles across the public, private and third sector affording me different perspectives on issues and opportunities to achieve the best outcome.

As a founding member of Scotia Medical Group, I am passionate about building a strong, community-focused organisation that will save lives. Over the next five years, I aim to embed wellbeing and mental health support across all aspects of the charity. I am excited about Scotia Medical Group's growth and our potential to make a lasting impact on communities in the North-East of Scotland and further afield.
