Nick Mort
Board Secretary

My volunteering journey started over a decade ago when I joined the Red Cross as a first aid volunteer. Over the years I have been involved in planning, delivering and reviewing first aid services at events, I have travelled around the UK and Europe sharing my first aid skills and knowledge and previously was jointly responsible for leading a local team of volunteers in Aberdeen.

I am proud to be a founding member of Scotia Medical Group and look forward to being part of this charity. I currently work within emergency planning and lead a number of volunteer emergency response teams across the North of Scotland. Throughout my professional career I’ve held roles in administration, project and IT management in the private, public and third sector. Over the next 5 years, I plan on gaining more experience, skills and knowledge in crisis and emergency management.

Equally, I’d like to share my experience and knowledge with colleagues and peers. I am also very keen to embed wellbeing and mental health support in all activities that we do.

I’m really excited and looking forward to being part of Scotia Medical Group and seeing the organisation grow, become a part of communities across the North-East and ultimately enabling people to save lives.
